According to a report, 76ers guard Nik Stauskas could be included in a trade that would send Nerlens Noel to the Hawks.

While the entire world awaited the start of the NBA Finals on Thursday night, the Philadelphia 76ers and Atlanta Hawks decided that they wanted to try and steal some of the buzz. Earlier on Thursday, Shams Charania reported that the 76ers and Hawks were discussing a deal that would send Nerlens Noel to Atlanta for guard Jeff Teague.

This immediately caused everyone to refresh their browser and start speculating about what the parameters of their deal could be. According to Keith Pompey of Philly.com, Nik Stauskas and Robert Covington could both be included in the deal and on their way to Atlanta if a deal were to go down.

It makes sense that the 76ers would send some players along with Noel, as they would have to match salary to take on Teague. Whether or not the Hawks would keep Stauskas and Covington would remain to be seen.

The article also notes that the 76ers aren’t just shopping Noel and Jahlil Okafor to Atlanta either. A source has told the site that the 76ers are shopping the duo to as many as 15 teams.

The rumors are beginning to fire up and this proposed deal is starting to add some legs. Will it go down?
