Twins’ Eduardo Nunez hits inside-the-park home run (Video)
Minnesota Twins shortstop Eduardo Nunez flew around the bases for an inside-the-park home run.
The Minnesota Twins might struggle to score runs and win games, but some of the players haven’t given up on hustling around the bases.
On Thursday night, Twins shortstop Eduardo Nunez proved he was all about that life of hustling, when he hit an inside-the-park home run. As the ball bounced off the wall past Rays outfielder Brandon Guyer, Nunez was off to the races.
He was running so fast, that his helmet fell off early and he had a look of pure determination on his face.
When a team is in a season of struggles like the Twins are, it’s a refreshing sight to see a player giving it his all on the base paths. Case-in-point, Nunez didn’t give up and he had four bases on his mind the entire way.
As for Guyer, it was a valiant effort and a valiant rebound to grab the ball, but Nunez is just too fast to give any extra time to. The Twins got on the board and Target Field was rocking over their first run on the night.
