Adore Jackson of the USC Trojans has an exciting and versatile skill set that could help him go on a Heisman run in 2016.

With the start of the 2016 college football regular season quickly approaching, the preseason Heisman Trophy debate is already heating up.

Alabama’s Derrick Henry snapped a string of five consecutive Heismans for quarterbacks in 2015, beating out Christian McCaffrey and Deshaun Watson in the final voting. Quarterbacks will look to get back to their winnings ways this season, as Watson leads a strong group at the position that also includes J.T. Barrett and Chad Kelly.

The Heisman race projects to be wide open throughout the entire season, as teams across the nation are returning talented underclassmen for 2016. One player to keep an eye on is USC Trojans do-it-all star Adoree’ Jackson, who gained buzz as a potential future Heisman contender after his exciting debut in 2014.

A much-hyped five-star recruit coming out of high school, Jackson has drawn comparisons to former Heisman winners Reggie Bush and Desmond Howard. The junior has contributed as a wide reciever, punt returner and cornerback in both of his college seasons, and creates plenty of excitement whenever the ball is in his hands.

The Trojans used Jackson much more on offense last season, while he continued to be a major factor on defense and special teams. As one of the most explosive players in college football, Jackson’s unique skill set can help him towards a Heisman Trophy run in 2016.
