Denver Broncos Pro Bowl cornerback Aqib Talib was shot outside of a Dallas night club early Sunday morning.

According to WFAA TV’s crime reporter Rebecca Lopez, three men were shot at the V Live Club in Dallas on early Sunday morning. One of the three men identified in the resulting shooting after a fight broke out was three-time Pro Bowl cornerback Aqib Talib of the Super Bowl Champion Denver Broncos.

Lopez in that tweeted stated that Talib was in recovery from the shooting at Medical City hospital in Dallas.

Talib is coming off arguably his best season as a professional after starring for the Big 12’s Kansas Jayhawks. Talib started in 15 games for the 2015 Broncos, picking off three interceptions for 123 yards and two defensive touchdowns. He had 13 pass deflections and 39 total tackles in his third consecutive Pro Bowl season.

2015 was Talib’s second season with the Broncos, solidifying a solid cornerback tandem with fellow former Jayhawk Chris Harris in Wade Phillips’ outstanding 2015 defense.

Talib was reportedly “discharged from the ER of the Medical City hospital” earlier Sunday afternoon after the shooting earlier Sunday night, according to Broncos beat writer Cameron Wolfe of the Denver Post.
