Melker Karlsson scored in Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final while falling down to cut the Sharks deficit to 2-1.

Desperately needing a goal in Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final, the San Jose Sharks got some third period chances early on. Eventually, those chances paid off because forward Melker Karlsson was able to score a goal past Penguins goaltender Matt Murray while falling to the ice in the process. An extremely impressive goal.

The force behind Karlsson’s shot caused him to fall to the ice and that’s the amount of force that he needed to put one past Murray, who has been sharp for most of the Stanley Cup Final. That is Karlsson’s fourth goal of the postseason and his fifth point in 22 games. Karlsson has been playing alongside Joe Thornton and Joe Pavelski on the Sharks first forward line without Tomas Hertl in the lineup.

He also had 19 points in 65 games during the regular season. A huge reason that the Sharks got to the Stanley Cup final is because they have gotten scoring from all over their lineup and Karlsson is proof of that. He was an undrafted free agent of the Sharks.
