FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy baseball lineup-June 7
Second Baseman
High-Salary Option: Jose Altuve-Houston Astros (4,100): Even though I don’t like his matchup against Cole Hamels, Altuve is red-hot and killing the Rangers, so give him a look tonight as the series for Texas continues. Altuve actually is 5-13 in his career against Hamels with a homer and a pair of RBI, and he comes into tonight’s game riding a 12-game hitting streak. He went 3-5 last night with a homer to raise his average to .336 on the season and .414 over the past week. Altuve brings speed and average every time he plays so getting power from him is an added bonus. Look for him to keep things going tonight as the Astros try to get their first win in Arlington in 12 tries. ∗∗∗∗
Mid-range Option: Ian Kinsler-Detroit Tigers (3,700): Kinsler continues his hot hitting with a 2-5 night last night including an RBI and a pair of runs scored. He has at least 15 fantasy points in four of his last five games started and has multiple hits in five of his last nine starts. He hasn’t had any hits against tonight’s Toronto starter Aaron Sanchez (0-3), but he is 10-29 with a homer, nine RBI, and seven runs scored over the past week which is good enough to make him a solid mid-range play especially give him power potential. ∗∗∗
Mid-range Option: Jurickson Profar-Texas Rangers (3,000): Profar led off last night with a triple and scored, but he had a quiet night after that. He has been tearing up the League since being recalled from Triple-A and is hitting .393 (11-28) over the last week with a pair of doubles, a pair of homers, and that triple from last night. He should remain perched atop the potent Rangers attack tonight as they face Dallas Keuchel who has had a rough season so far after winning the Cy Young last year. Profar is a great buy at this price especially if he stays int he leadoff spot . ∗∗∗∗
High-Value Option: Chase d’Arnaud-Atlanta Braves (2,300): D’Arnaud was one of y cheap hitters who came through last night going 3-5 with an RBI in Atlanta’s loss to the Padres. He is hitting. .333 on the season after last night’s production and is 9-26 (.346) over the last week. He has multiple hits in three of his last six games and can definitely give you some points even though he doesn’t bring a lot of power or speed. I don’t expect a monster game from d’Arnaud tonight, but he has been consistent enough of a producer to consider him as a nice flier who is probably going to give you something tonight as he faces Colin Rea who has allowed at least three runs in each of his last four starts for the Padres.∗∗∗
