Cavaliers fan savages Klay Thompson as he leaves court (Video)

A Cleveland Cavaliers fan added insult to injury, literally, as Klay Thompson left the game in the first quarter.

The NBA Finals have been tremendously one-sided so far. There’s hardly been a quarter that’s been closely contested. After the Golden State Warriors blew the Cleveland Cavaliers out of the water in the first two games, the Cavaliers came out charged up in the first quarter of Game 3, racing out to a 33-16 lead.

Understandably so, Cavs fans had all the confidence in the world, and when Klay Thompson collided with Timofey Mozgov, things went from bad to worse for the Warriors. He had to leave the game briefly, but not before he got insulted by a fan on the way out:

Thompson’s injury wasn’t serious, however, and he’s expected to return. But even before he got hurt, he’s been held scoreless on 0-of-5 shooting. While the Splash Brothers haven’t played great in the Finals yet, it hasn’t mattered. However, they will need to come back strong if they want to win this game on the road, and this fan’s actions will no doubt motivate Klay to come back and stun the crowd.

Of course, the Cavs had their own injured star to deal with in Kevin Love, but so far, they’ve looked better without him. It’ll be interesting to see if Tyronn Lue does with him when he’s cleared to play again.
