All four teams in Group A have played two Copa America matches, so check out the updated standings through June 7.

It was a busy night of soccer for teams in Group A of the Copa America Centenario. The USMNT and Colombia shined in Chicago and Santa Clara, respectively, as they both were the better teams in their individual matches.

Colombia defeated Paraguay in the second game of the night. With a 2-1 win, the CONMEBOL nation now has six points in group stage play and is the first team to book a spot into the knockout stage of the Copa America Centenario. Paraguay had chances to find an equalizer on Tuesday, but it went down a man with around 10 minutes left to play and was unable to level the score at two.

On the other hand, the USMNT came out firing early on by converting a penalty kick less than 10 minutes into their match against Costa Rica. Their CONCACAF rival had little to offer as the hosts continued to find the net. In the end, the USMNT won a must-win game by a score of 4-0 and currently sit in second place in the group. Their match against Paraguay to round out their group stage games will be critical to figuring out who ends up advancing to the knockout round.
