2016 Mock Draft: Simmons, Ingram, Bender still on top

SG. Turkey. Furkan Korkmaz . 18. player. 64. Can there be a more perfect fit for a Stan Van Gundy team, than a guy named Furkan Korkmaz?! Korkmaz is one of the younger players in the draft at just 18-years old, but don’t be fooled he’s been a pro for the last two seasons in Turkey. Korkmaz plays for Anadolu Efes — one of the top teams in all of Europe — and plays with such beautiful, flowing style to his game. <p>Korkmaz is 6-8, 190 pounds so he doesn’t exactly have an NBA body; yet. However, that’s a relatively easy fix and honestly he would only need to add 10-15 pounds for strength purposes as his main skill set places him on the perimeter and not in the post. Korkmaz can sometimes be lackadaisical on the defensive end and that’s his real area of opportunity as he continues to rise through the ranks of professional hoops.</p> <p>The Pistons have two roster spots heading into the offseason and they had a pretty successful season under SVG in 2015-16. Cracking the rotation of talented wings isn’t likely for Furkan in his rookie season, so Detroit could select him as an ideal draft-and-stash candidate so he can continue to develop in Turkey and come in 1-2 years to The Association.
