Identifying the top high salary and value pitcher plays from around Major League Baseball for your June 10 DraftKings lineup.

Our goal is to help you win DraftKings contests with consistently strong lineups. To accomplish that, we’ll be highlighting some higher salary players worth paying up for, and some value picks that will help you save salary in key areas. These picks are specifically for DraftKings lineups, so all references to prices and fantasy points are based on DK figures.

As always, be sure to double-check final MLB lineups and monitor weather situations before locking in your DFS lineups.

High Salary

Clayton Kershaw, Dodgers (13,900): Come on, did you really expect anyone else at the top of this list? Kershaw is 8-1 with a 1.46 ERA and 0.65 WHIP. He has 109 strikeouts against six (SIX!) walks. He’s simply in the midst of one of the finest seasons a pitcher has ever had. He’s always worth paying up for, and Friday’s road matchup against San Francisco is no different.

Stephen Strasburg, Nationals (13,500): When compared to Kershaw, Strasburg’s numbers (9-0, 2.85 ERA, 1.09 WHIP, 100 strikeouts, 22 walks) look almost pedestrian, but trust us, they’re still quite elite. Strasburg has reached double-digit strikeouts in three of his last four starts, and should be a threat to do it again Friday against the struggling Philadelphia Phillies.

High Value

Chris Sale, White Sox (11,800): OK, OK, Sale isn’t exactly “cheap.” But compared to his usual price (13,000 and up), Sale represents solid value on Friday. The White Sox are hosting AL Central rival Kansas City, which is never a cakewalk matchup. But Sale is coming off one of his worst starts of the season, and seems poised for a bounce-back start against the Royals.

Hisashi Iwakuma, Mariners (7,400): In his last start, Iwakuma struck out seven while holding the Texas Rangers to just one earned run over seven innings. He’ll get another matchup with the Rangers on Friday, but this time in Seattle. Iwakuma has topped 16 fantasy points in each of his last four starts, making him a relatively safe option, albeit with limited upside.
