New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski gave hundreds of kids exactly what they wanted at football camp by spiking open a football-shaped pinata.

New England Patriots All-Pro tight end Rob Gronkowski is a fan favorite for his terrific play on the field and his signature Gronk spike in the end zone on the receiving end of Tom Brady Patriot touchdowns.

So it comes as no surprise that Gronkowski would bring out his signature spike when showing kids at a football camp how to best open a pinata.

Gronkowski uploaded a video clip of his most recent Gronk spike on his Instagram account on Saturday evening.

With hundreds of young boys in attendance, Gronk worked the young crowd marvelously before unleashing a monstrous throw-down of the oversized football-shaped pinata.

It came at the end of the first day of the two-day camp, and kids immediately rushed towards the busted pinata to grab as much candy as they could. Even for a 6’6″, 250-plus pound NFL tight end, Gronkowski had to put a ton of muscle into that slam of the football-shaped pinata.

The pinata was clearly designed to be struck with a baseball bat of some kind at a kid’s birthday party, but when Gronkowski is in attendance and there’s a giant football-shaped pinata full of candy, of course he is going to Gronk spike it into the turf. He did it for the kids!
