Our goal is to help you win DraftKings contests with consistently strong lineups. To accomplish that, we’ll be highlighting some higher salary players worth paying up for, and some value picks that will help you save salary in key areas. These picks are specifically for DraftKings lineups, so all references to prices and fantasy points are based on DK figures.

As always, be sure to double-check final MLB lineups and monitor weather situations before locking in your DFS lineups.

High Salary

Xander Bogaerts, Red Sox (5,400): Bogaerts is simply a hitting machine. He has 10 hits in his last four games, including a pair of four-hit performances. He’s reached double digits in fantasy points six times in June. His .355 average leads the American League and ranks second in the majors behind Daniel Murphy. Bogaerts is a solid play against Baltimore Orioles righty Kevin Gausman (0-3, 3.45 ERA).

Trevor Story, Rockies (5,300): Story homered Tuesday night against the New York Yankees, and could be in line to do it again on Wednesday. He’s hit 12 of his 17 home runs this season against right-handers, so the matchup with Ivan Nova (5-3, 4.39 ERA) is an inviting one. Expect another high-scoring game (Colorado won Tuesday 13-10), which will also benefit Story.

High Value

Jhonny Peralta, Cardinals (3,400): Peralta has looked good since being activated off the disabled list in early June. He’s 9-for-28 (.321) in seven games, but is hitting particularly well against right-handers (.412). Peralta and the Cardinals should be able to do some damage against Houston Astros starter Collin McHugh (5-5, 5.22 ERA) on Wednesday.

Tim Beckham, Rays (2,900): Beckham doesn’t offer much in the way of average (.200), but he boasts decent speed, as evidenced by his consecutive games with triples. In total, he has four hits over his last four games. Beckham has never faced his former teammate Nathan Karns (5-2, 4.09 ERA), so he’s best viewed as a GPP option.
