Even though Thursday is the lightest day of baseball of the week, there are still plenty of options to consider for DFS in today’s FanDuel daily picks.

There are three MLB games this afternoon before a solid seven-game slate tonight.  Most of the fantasy baseball action will focus on those seven games in the “Main” window on FanDuel, so I’ll focus on those 14 teams playing under the lights tonight in my FanDuel daily picks for this Thursday, June 16.

More from Boston Red Sox

Lineups on FanDuel lock at 7:05 with the start of the East Coast wave of games which include the rubber game of the three-game set in Boston between the O’s and Red Sox, the Pirates in the Big Apple to face the Mets again, and the Phillies welcoming in the Blue Jays.  Shortly after 8:00, the Yankees@Twins, and Tigers@Royals series get underway followed by a pair of games from the West Coast as the Nats visit PetCo Park to face the Padres and the Dodgers host the Brewers.

As we continue into the middle of the summer with our expanded fantasy baseball coverage, my FanDuel daily picks will be posted each morning here at FanSided. My picks are designed to provide you the information you need to build your own lineup that can bring home a win for your team. In order to help you find the position and price-point that you need, there are a variety of options on each slide with high-salary options, mid-range options, and high-value options at each position.

For starting pitchers and outfielders, I’ve separated my picks into high-salary and high-value options on separate slides while the other positions each get one slide per position with multiple pricing options.  I base each of my picks on the current form of each player and the matchups each player will face in tonight’s contest game.

In my daily basketball picks, it was very helpful to rank my picks every morning using stars after each selection to show the strength of the pick. I’ll continue that rating system as I move over to cover fantasy baseball.  For a full explanation of the rating system, check out the last slide of this post, but in short, more stars means more confidence (on a point-per-dollar basis). Also on the final slide of the post, you can see how I’m putting together the my most confident picks into my lineups for today’s competition. I suggest you build your own customized team with the players you like the most, but you’re welcome to check out my lineups and use them as a place to get started.

In my FanDuel daily picks, all salary references and references to “fantasy points” refer to FanDuel pricing and scoring.  If you are looking for similar coverage specifically for DraftKings, check the box above for related posts or find the latest on the fantasy baseball hub.

If you have any questions about my picks for today or any of our FanSided fantasy coverage, you can leave them at the bottom of the page in the comments section.  For an even quicker response, you can find me throughout the day on Twitter @FansidedFantasy.

Make sure to follow on Twitter for any late-breaking lineup news as well and any adjustments as lineups come out throughout this Thursday.  I’m on a on-location video shoot for most of the day, but I should be able to check in before roster lock with any updates.

If you find my picks and analysis helpful and would like to check out my DFS fantasy baseball posts each morning, the easiest way to find the FanDuel daily picks is to drop a bookmark on our fantasy baseball hub or follow on Twitter where I’ll tweet out the links each day when my picks go live.

With a somewhat-limited slate, there are a few options that can’t be ignored in my FanDuel daily picks for this Thursday.
