FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy baseball lineup-June 17
Get your fantasy baseball weekend off to a great start with a DFS win supported by my FanDuel daily picks for this Friday, June 17.
The Cubs and Pirates are the only teams who are out of the main competition on this Friday night since they play an afternoon game at Wrigley Field. The other 28 teams in Major League Baseball are in action under the lights tonight and are settling in for a busy but great weekend of baseball. It looks like weather will stay away from raining on our DFS fantasy baseball tonight, so you can build your team without worrying too much about rainouts. To see who I think deserves a look, check out my FanDuel daily picks on the following slides.
More from Baltimore Orioles
- MLB Rumors: Cardinals budging on Arenado, Orioles-Ohtani package, Yankees backup plan
- MLB Rumors: Shohei Ohtani, Angels, Dodgers, Rich Hill
- NY Mets: 4 monstrous trade packages for Justin Verlander and Max Scherzer
- MLB standings ordered by hard hit rate: Struggling Cardinals still cracking bats
- MLB Rumors: Nolan Arenado trade condition, Padres open for business, AL East trade tactics
The schedule for this weekend and for tonight skews a bit toward the East where there are seven games starting at 7:05 or 7:10. Teams like Arizona, Seattle, and San Francisco are playing East Coast series this weekend, so there won’t be quite as many late starting games. In the 8:00 window, there are four games followed by three late games starting at 9:35 or later. All 14 of those matchups are in the main window on FanDuel, though, so there are a ton of options to look at as you put together your roster.
As we continue into the middle of the summer with our expanded fantasy baseball coverage, my FanDuel daily picks will be posted each morning here at FanSided. My picks are designed to provide you the information you need to build your own lineup that can bring home a win for your team. In order to help you find the position and price-point that you need, there are a variety of options on each slide with high-salary options, mid-range options, and high-value options at each position.
For starting pitchers and outfielders, I’ve separated my picks into high-salary and high-value options on separate slides while the other positions each get one slide per position with multiple pricing options. I base each of my picks on the current form of each player and the matchups each player will face in tonight’s contest game.
In my daily basketball picks, it was very helpful to rank my picks every morning using stars after each selection to show the strength of the pick. I’ll continue that rating system as I move over to cover fantasy baseball. For a full explanation of the rating system, check out the last slide of this post, but in short, more stars means more confidence (on a point-per-dollar basis). Also on the final slide of the post, you can see how I’m putting together the my most confident picks into my lineups for today’s competition. I suggest you build your own customized team with the players you like the most, but you’re welcome to check out my lineups and use them as a place to get started.
In my FanDuel daily picks, all salary references and references to “fantasy points” refer to FanDuel pricing and scoring. If you are looking for similar coverage specifically for DraftKings, check the box above for related posts or find the latest on the fantasy baseball hub.
If you have any questions about my picks for today or any of our FanSided fantasy coverage, you can leave them at the bottom of the page in the comments section. For an even quicker response, you can find me throughout the day on Twitter @FansidedFantasy.
Make sure to follow on Twitter for any late-breaking lineup news as well and any adjustments as lineups come out throughout this Friday. I’m still out of town doing an on-location video shoot for most of the day, but I should be able to check in before roster lock with any updates. Last night I made a few tweaks to my lineup late, so make sure to check back once lineups are announced.
If you find my picks and analysis helpful and would like to check out my DFS fantasy baseball posts each morning, the easiest way to find the FanDuel daily picks is to drop a bookmark on our fantasy baseball hub or follow on Twitter where I’ll tweet out the links each day when my picks go live.
Let’s get right to the picks for this Friday since there are so many options to consider for my FanDuel daily picks tonight.
