The 2016 College World Series has arrived as eight of the best teams in college baseball take to the field in Omaha, Nebraska to find out who will be the national champions. One of the games will feature a battle between the Florida Gators and Coastal Carolina Chanticleers.

The top seed in the entire tournament, the Gators found themselves one game from elimination in the Super Regional round after being shut out by rival Florida State. Florida would bounce back and take the next two games by a combined score of 12-0 to advance back to Omaha.

For Coastal Carolina, their road to the College World Series came in a two-game sweep in the Super Regional round over perennial power LSU, sending the Chanticleers to Omaha for the first time in school history.
