5. Guerschon Yabusele, PF, France

Based on how badly Charles Barkley continues to botch Jonas Valanciunas’ name, I would give my life savings to see Guerschon Yabusele selected on draft night. If TNT allowed Barkley to work during the ESPN broadcast, there is a 100 percent chance his pronunciation of Yabusele’s name would sound something like this: “Guyairieschawn Yeahboocesaylay.”

Fran Fraschilla is likely to handle analysis of international prospects during the televised coverage of the draft, reducing the likelihood of a similar butchering, but we can always dream of Yabusele making his way to the league and forcing Barkley into a pronunciation predicament one day. At the 2015 adidas EuroCamp, DraftExpress showed Barkley and Co. how it’s done.

In speaking with DraftExpress’ Jonathan Givony recently, Yabusele compared himself to Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green, saying, “I got a lot of energy. I can dribble a little bit and I can shoot it. I can play defense on the 3, 4 and 5. I can play on both ends, so I think I can play like him.” The 20-year-old, who spent this past season with Rouen Metropole Basket of France’s Pro A league, told Givony that he’s currently 6’7″ without shoes and 275 pounds, so like Green, he’ll be somewhat undersized (at least in terms of height) against true centers.

ESPN.com’s Chad Ford has Yabusele ranked 30th on his latest Top 100, while DraftExpress has him 34th and CBS Sports’ Sam Vecenie has him 37th. The dream of an epic Barkley pronunciation butchering is very much alive, even if it won’t happen on draft night.
