Welcome back to the BAE Index.

That game:

I know that the BAE normally is about specific highlights and everything but Game 7 deserves more than that. From LeBron James block to Kyrie Irving’s jumper to LeBron James three pointer to just about everything else that happened, the game lived up to almost impossible hype.

More from NBA

Everyone hoped for a classic to decide what was arguably the most important game of many fans’ lifetime. We got it. The NBA is great, man.

The shot:

Kyrie Irving is going to be a legend in Cleveland for his entire life. After playing wonderfully over the final three games of the Finals, Irving danced for a bit before rising and hitting the biggest three pointer in Cavaliers history.

Who said Kevin Love couldn’t defend?:

Shortly after Kyrie Irving’s three pointer Stephen Curry got isolated on Kevin Love. There was a feeling of inevitability that Curry would tie the game with a three after he danced Love into submission. But Love somehow stayed with him twice and forced him into a tough shot. The Cavs rebounded and ended up hitting a dagger free throw the next possession. What an effort.

LeBron James would not be denied:

LeBron James is now undoubtedly the best player that an entire generation of NBA fans have never seen. After back-to-back 41 point efforts to force a Game 7 against the best regular season team of all time, James ended up with a triple-double in Game 7 to lead the Cavaliers to victory. And with the Warriors ready to take the lead after a Cavaliers turnover which would have caused Oracle Arena to erupt late in the game, LeBron turned into a superhero.

Real humans do not do that. LeBron James is not a real human. Long live the King.
