Another week of DFS fantasy baseball gets underway tonight with nine games providing us plenty of good options for today’s FanDuel daily picks.

Another week of the summer is upon us as we get ready to turn the calendar to July later this week.  Major League Baseball starts the week with ten games this Monday, but there are only nine in tonight’s DFS fantasy baseball contests. The Phillies and Diamondbacks have an usual Monday afternoon contest to close out their four-game weekend set, but the other 18 teams in action are set to take the field tonight under the lights. Those nine games are the focus of the main Fanduel competitions for this Monday and also the pool of players from which I’ve made today’s FanDuel daily picks which can be found on the following slides.

More from Baltimore Orioles

Rosters lock in on FanDuel at 7:05 when the Pirates and Giants get the night underway in Pittsburgh.  At 7:10, they’ll be joined by the battle of the Sox in Boston, the Rays visiting the home of the NBA Champions to face the Indians, the Tigers hosting Seattle, and the Marlins golf for the four-game sweep of the visiting Rockies. In the 8:00 window, the Rangers look to stay red-hot against the Orioles, the Cubs and Cards meet in an NL Central rivalry, and the Angles head to Houston to face the Astros.  There is only one late game tonight, and it sets up to be one of the better contests of the evening as the Nationals visit the Dodgers and Stephen Strasburg takes on Clayton Kershaw.

As we continue into the middle of the summer with our expanded fantasy baseball coverage, my FanDuel daily picks will be posted each morning here at FanSided. My picks are designed to provide you the information you need to build your own lineup that can bring home a win for your team. In order to help you find the position and price-point that you need, there are a variety of options on each slide with high-salary options, mid-range options, and high-value options at each position.

For starting pitchers and outfielders, I’ve separated my picks into high-salary and high-value options on separate slides while the other positions each get one slide per position with multiple pricing options.  I base each of my picks on the current form of each player and the matchups each player will face in tonight’s contest game.

In my daily basketball picks, it was very helpful to rank my picks every morning using stars after each selection to show the strength of the pick. I’ll continue that rating system as I move over to cover fantasy baseball.  For a full explanation of the rating system, check out the last slide of this post, but in short, more stars means more confidence (on a points-per-dollar basis). Also on the final slide of the post, you can see how I’m putting together the my most confident picks into my lineups for today’s competition. I suggest you build your own customized team with the players you like the most, but you’re welcome to check out my lineups and use them as a place to get started.

In my FanDuel daily picks, all salary references and references to “fantasy points” refer to FanDuel pricing and scoring.  If you are looking for similar coverage specifically for DraftKings, check the box above for related posts or find the latest on the fantasy baseball hub.

If you have any questions about my picks for today or any of our FanSided fantasy coverage, you can leave them at the bottom of the page in the comments section.  For an even quicker response, you can find me throughout the day on Twitter @FansidedFantasy.

Make sure to follow on Twitter for any late-breaking lineup news as well and any adjustments as lineups come out throughout this Monday. As lineups come out throughout this evening, I’ll adjust my team if necessary and let you know my new lineup on Twitter.

If you find my picks and analysis helpful and would like to check out my DFS fantasy baseball posts each morning, the easiest way to find the FanDuel daily picks is to drop a bookmark on our fantasy baseball hub or follow on Twitter where I’ll tweet out the links each day when my picks go live.

It’s time to get rolling with a new week of fantasy baseball,  so lets dive right in to today’s FanDuel daily picks.
