LeBron James Jr. is already on the radar of national powers Duke and Kentucky, and he isn’t even a teenager yet.

LeBron James burst onto the national scene as a high school player for St. Vincent-St. Mary High School in Akron, Ohio, captivating America with his unbelievable skill set for a kid his age. LeBron James Jr. has also begun to garner attention, and at only 11-years old, is already fielding offers from major Division I schools.

ESPN’s David McMenamin and Brian Windhorst reported that LBJ Jr. has received “standing offers” from national powers like Duke and Kentucky, and it is likely he will be able to pick his school when the time comes.

LeBron Sr. said he would have attended Ohio State University if he did not go directly to the NBA out of high school, and the younger James may want to stay close to home.

Back in 2015, LeBron was clearly upset with schools sending offers to his then 10-year old son. “It’s pretty crazy,” James told CBS Detroit before his Cleveland Cavaliers played the Detroit Pistons. “It should be a violation. You shouldn’t be recruiting 10-year-old kids.”

The younger LeBron clearly has an incredible feel for the game already, and has put on some highlight reel performance against some of the best kids in his age group.

On Sunday, LeBron Sr. won an NBA title with the help of former Duke point guard Kyrie Irving. James also played for Duke Head Coach Mike Krzyzewski with Team USA, so it is possible the Dukies have a leg up already.
