With the salary cap set to spike and the NBA Draft just days away, just about every team in the league is going to get calls on their superstar players. Some teams are loaded with future assets and are going to hope that they can turn those assets into a big time player that can help them.

One team that is not answering the phone on their superstar is the Utah Jazz. According to ESPN’s Marc Stein, the Utah Jazz are telling teams that forward Gordon Hayward is not available for trade right now.

Thanks in part to some bad luck and injuries last season, the Jazz just missed making the playoffs with a very talented young core. While Hayward will be set to be paid again very soon, the Jazz know they have a team to build around and they should take the next step next season.

Certainly things can change, but there is no need to trade their best player and restart the process. It’s officially rumor season in the NBA and rumors like this are going to keep flying about while teams try to land a star.
