It appears that Derrick Rose wasn’t taking from the Chicago Bulls after being traded to the New York Knicks.

There was a blockbuster trade on Wednesday, when the New York Knicks acquired point guard Derrick Rose from the Chicago Bulls in exchange for Robin Lopez, Jose Calderon and Jerian Grant.

Just a day before the NBA Draft, both of these teams weren’t waiting around to make moves and it is clear that the Knicks are trying to go all in. With Carmelo Anthony and Kristaps Porzingis already on the roster, the Knicks are hoping that adding Rose to that core can improve them to a playoff team.

If they can land a good free agent center in free agency and the prospects for the Knicks will be looking a lot better than they previously were. However, it appears that Rose wasn’t happy with the Bulls’ brass over being traded.

According to Sean Highkin, Rose refused to take calls from executive Gar Forman.

Whether or not it’s about being unhappy with the trade or other issues between the two, Rose isn’t happy about something. He had spent his entire career with the Bulls to date and he was a fan favorite among everyone in Chicago.

Now, he will go to New York and hopefully play at a high pace for them.
