5. A legendary team is born

The journey to a ring for the Cleveland Cavaliers was exhausting but the end was worth it. The performances by this team won’t be forgotten any time soon. From LeBron’s heroics, Kyrie’s three and Richard Jefferson playing huge minutes off the bench. People love underdogs and LeBron was actually an underdog this time around.

Cleveland sports teams have been the punching bag for jokes, insult and heartbreaking losses. This NBA playoffs has allowed Cleveland to be champions. It meant so much for these players and you could see it in the emotion LeBron showed once the buzzer sounded or J.R Smith breaking down discussing the win and his parents.

Six years ago, many Cavs fans were burning LeBron jersey’s and hated the man. Now he is their champion and the prodigal son who came back to fix what he did wrong. Coming back from a 3-1 deficit, shutting up the critics and finally get a ring for the “Land” was something LeBron wanted and needed.

The discussion of when LeBron will win for his city and if he would leave if they lost can be quieted. It is now a time to celebrate. The streets were filled with more than a million Cavs fans for the championship parade. Some fans were waiting 52 years for the day that could happen.
