3. Taurean Prince – Baylor

One of the most divisive players in the 2016 NBA Draft that doesn’t get the buzz of many others is forward Taurean Prince out of Baylor. However, when you look at what Prince was able to accomplish on the hardwood over the course of his career at Waco, I’m thoroughly confused how people don’t see that the young man has a future in the NBA.

The big thing that comes up with people that don’t think Prince can hack it at the next level is that his size kind of labels him as a tweener. He’s strong enough to play the four, but doesn’t necessary have the height or length to do so. Meanwhile, he might not be an athlete good enough to play the three either. But in the way that the modern NBA is adjusting, don’t tweeners like this have more value in the league than ever before? Especially tweeners that have shown the ability to defend well at college and have shown that they have a solid outside shooting stroke.

Again dipping back into a common theme with the 76ers, they have almost no quality players in their backcourt and on the wings moving forward. As such, if Prince isn’t snatched up before the No. 24 pick, I truly think they’d be making a mistake in not taking him off the board.
