President Obama doesn’t plan to just hit the golf course after his term is over, he’s got much bigger plans, like owning an NBA franchise.

After his term as 44th president of the United States of America is up, don’t be surprised to see President Obama take his talents to the hardwood. No, we’re not talking about lacing up the shoes and working out for a team in hopes of a roster spot, but as a owner of an NBA franchise, instead.

According to Press Secretary Josh Earnest, Obama has “discussed” being part of an ownership group for an NBA franchise. If the right opportunity presents itself, don’t be surprised to see Obama sitting courtside for an NBA franchise next year. Obama would be the first former president to own an NBA team.

Over the past eight years, Obama has made it very clear for his love of the game, filling out an NCAA March Madness bracket every year and showing his true passion for all teams Chicago, even making appearances at games throughout the season.

Jerry Reinsdorf, 80, is the current owner of the Chicago Bulls and Chicago White Sox, and doesn’t appear to be looking to wipe his hands clean of the Bulls anytime soon.

As Obama swings the sticks on the golf course after his presidency is over, be on the lookout for his name to pop up when NBA ownership vacancies appear. Reinsdorf said that after he passes, he wants his family to sell the White Sox, but to keep the Bulls.

The Bulls are currently the third most valuable team in the NBA with a current value of $2.3 billion, behind only the New York Knicks ($3 billion) and Los Angeles Lakers ($2.7 billion).
