The 7ā1ā³ Sudanese-Australian 2016 NBA Draft prospect Thon Maker went No. 10 to the Milwaukee Bucks and hereās how Twitter reacted to the draft selection.
One of the more interesting 2016 NBA Draft prospects was Sudanese-Australian seven-footer Thon Maker. Yes, thatās his name. Heās somewhere between 19 years old and 23 years old playing high school basketball in Canada. However, that size of his simply cannot be taught.
Maker is projected to be an elite rim protector at 7ā1ā³, but will have to put on some weight to succeed in the NBA, as he is only 216 pounds on that lanky frame. He went No. 10 overall to the Milwaukee Bucks, who already have a team built on impressive wingspans.
Head coach Jason Kidd is clearly looking to build a dynamic defense in Milwaukee with guys like Giannis Antetokounmpo, Michael Carter-Williams, and now Maker. Hereās how Twitter handled the interesting draft selection by the Bucks in grabbing Maker at No. 10.
Clearly nobody knows how old he is, how many continents heās lived on, but Maker is being tabbed as a Kevin Garnett type of player coming out of Canada around 19 years old. That crossover he pulled though was pretty spectacular.
