4. Thon Maker picked 10th comes down from bleachers

Thon Maker, the 7-foot-1 power forward out of Sudan was selected 10th overall by the Milwaukee Bucks– and came down from the bleachers? There had been rumors that Maker would fall out of the first round but the bucks surprised everyone and used a top 10 pick on him.

Maker’s age had been talked about before the draft. The 19-year-old denied rumors of him being older after he heard that people began saying that he might be a few years older. Despite being so young and not attending college, Maker was able to enter the draft because he did not play in Europe or Asia.

The Bucks are very excited about their number 10 pick and hope he can contribute and become apart of the young foundation they are building with Jabari Parker and Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Maker being drafted 10th overall was easily one of the biggest surprises of the draft, but where he emerged from after being drafted was one of the most memorable moments. Did the Bucks drafting Maker even surprise himself? Who knows but Maker is happy to be in the NBA and we will see what he can do to help the Bucks.
