1. Versatility on defense

Along with an instinct to fly above the rim, Brown also understands there’s more to the game than just offense. He is an elite defender who, much like LeBron James, can defend all five positions on a basketball court. Now, we’re not trying to compare him to James because that is just silly, but he’s got similar abilities at that end.

He is quick enough on his feet to keep the shiftiest of guards in front of him but he’s also strong enough to body up big men down low. Joining the likes of Marcus Smart, Avery Bradley and Jae Crowder, Brown fits right in with a defensive minded game first, offense second. He will still have to get used to the NBA pace so don’t be surprised if guards blow by him and posts bully him down low to start the season but with his maturity and instinct for the game, Brown will make adjustments when needed.

Prediction: Brown becomes Boston’s primary defender in 2+ years.

Boston fans. RELAX. Brown has potential to be an elite player in the NBA. He is a little rough around the edges but will produce when called upon.
