President Barack Obama spoke with Cleveland Cavaliers head coach Tyronn Lue about how wing J.R. Smith needs to wear a shirt on his trip to the White House.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are now the reigning 2016 NBA Champions, ending a 52-year professional championship in Northeast Ohio. Before LeBron James and company defeated the Golden State Warriors on the road in Game 7 of the 2016 NBA Finals, the last time Cleveland won a title was when the 1964 Cleveland Browns won the 1964 NFL Championship.

As is tradition, the NBA Champion Cavaliers will make a visit to the White House to visit with President of the United States of America Barack Obama. Obama, a huge Chicago sports fan, reached out to Cavaliers head coach Tyronn Lue to congratulate him on a championship season and had one request: starting shooting guard J.R. Smith has to wear a shirt on his visit to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in a few weeks.

After winning Game 7 and thus the 2016 NBA Finals, the heavily tattooed Cleveland sharpshooter Smith didn’t wear a shirt for days. Once he took his jersey in celebration, Smith didn’t put a shirt on during Sunday night’s festivities in Las Vegas and the subsequent victory parade in downtown Cleveland later in the week.

President Obama said to Lue via phone call that Smith “can’t just be walking around without a shirt like that for a whole week. C’mon man!” Keep in mind that this is the same Cavaliers shooting guard that stood on top of a convertible during the victory parade in Cleveland, essentially announcing his candidacy to replace Obama as the next President of the United States, as a third party candidate of Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton.
