Identifying the top high salary and value pitcher plays from around Major League Baseball for your June 27 DraftKings lineup.

Our goal is to help you win DraftKings contests with consistently strong lineups. To accomplish that, we’ll be highlighting some higher salary players worth paying up for, and some value picks that will help you save salary in key areas. These picks are specifically for DraftKings lineups, so all references to prices and fantasy points are based on DK figures.

As always, be sure to double-check final MLB lineups and monitor weather situations before locking in your DFS lineups.

High Salary

Jake Arrieta, Cubs (13,700): This one was too easy. Arrieta, the reigning National League Cy Young Award winner, draws a road matchup with the last-place Cincinnati Reds on Monday. Arrieta’s best outing this season came back in April against the Reds, when he tossed a complete-game shutout (six strikeouts, 43.85 DraftKings points). He’s worth paying up for on Monday.

Noah Syndergaard, Mets (12,200): Trevor Bauer (12,800) against the Atlanta Braves is tempting, but we’re going to recommend “Thor” here. Syndergaard is due for a bounce-back performance after an average outing against Kansas City. He struck out 10 over seven scoreless innings against the Nationals back in May.

High Value

Robbie Ray, Diamondbacks (9,300): Ray has become a steady source of strikeouts, having tallied at least six punchouts in his last six starts. Two weeks ago, he posted 22.70 fantasy points against the Philadelphia Phillies, his opponent on Monday. This matchup will come in Arizona, where Ray has struggled at times. Still, the upside is here, especially for the price.

Jeff Samardzija, Giants (8,400): Samardzija’s strong start to the season has faded over the last few weeks. He’s failed to reach double digits in fantasy points in four of his last five starts, including two that resulted in negative points. That’s just not good. Samardzija is in a prime bounce-back spot Monday at home against Oakland.
