Thaddeus Young has probably been a fairly big deal for most of his life. As an eighth grader in Tennessee, Young was already playing varsity basketball and by the time he had graduated high school Young was one of the top basketball recruits in the entire country. Considering Young was also apparently good at cross-country and a great student (thanks Wikipedia), it is hard to say that people he went to school with didn’t see his name a lot over their high school careers. That didn’t stop them from misspelling his name in Young’s senior year yearbook though.
Even though the yearbook editor was a hater and spelled my name wrong lol https://t.co/IB1jjR6jBz

Honestly it feels safe to say that Young is correct when he says that his name is spelled wrong because the editor was a hater.

Most of the time people who are editors of school publications care enough about what they are doing to make sure that they do not miss easy mistakes like this, especially with people as famous as Young. How this got past a teacher that should have looked over things before they were sent off to publication is a good question though.
That said Young clearly had the last laugh as he is now a multi-millionaire who pokes fun at events like this on Twitter.
