These five teams would be the best fits for Dwight Howard in free agency.

Free agency in the NBA is set to be the biggest one of all time with the salary cap rising to $94 million and there are several star players that will be available on the market this year for teams to wildly spend their money on.

One player that is going to be available in free agency is center Dwight Howard. While Howard’s value might have taken a dip with the performance of the Houston Rockets last season, he is still one of the best centers in the league and it is likely that someone is going to throw a max contract at him or close to it.

Howard still provides tremendous value as rim protector in this league and he could be a great addition to several teams looking to improve their position for the playoffs. He can’t be a first option and expected to lead a team, but he can be a really good second or third option and there are several teams with cap space that can offer him that.

He needs to land in a situation that can use him to the best of his abilities and not leave him to dry like James Harden did with the Rockets last year. With Howard set to cash in during free agency, here are the five best fits for him.
