The two teams free agent center Hassan Whiteside is focused on signing with are the Dallas Mavericks and Miami Heat.

Hassan Whiteside is the most coveted center on the free agent market right now, but if it were up to him, there are only two teams he wants to sign with.

Despite him talking positively about playing in Madison Square Garden or Staples Center in the past, Adrian Wojnarowski has reported that he’s intent on signing with one of the Dallas Mavericks or Miami Heat – sorry Lakers fans.

Whiteside’s decision was never going to draw as much buzz as Kevin Durant’s, but whichever team ends up with his services will be pleased with him.

And while he’s very talented already, he still has room to improve, which is why he likes the idea of playing alongside future Hall of Famers in either Dirk Nowitzki or Dwyane Wade. Granted, Wade is also a free agent too, but he’s taken plenty of pay cuts to stay with Miami in the past, and the thought of him playing for another team feels dirty and wrong.

In other words, fans will have a very good idea of where Hassan Whiteside will end up relatively soon. And it’s very likely that his decision will soon have the other big-name free agents follow suit.
