It’s already known that the Warriors want to target Kevin Durant, but to get him to sign, they’re sending just about every top name.

Kevin Durant is the top free agent of the 2016 class. As NBA free agency is just hours away, teams are already looking to meet and lure him away from Oklahoma City Thunder.

It’s a tough task, but organizations feel they have a shot.

One of those teams is the Golden State Warriors. According to Marc Stein of ESPN, when they meet with Durant, the Warriors are going to send just about every top name to the pitch. This includes Stephen Curry, head coach Steve Kerr, and owner Joe Lacob.

So, everything but the kitchen sink here, right?

The Warriors are clearly going all-out in hope of shocking the NBA world by signing the former NBA MVP. A possible super team of Durant, Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green would be scary. If they could go 73-9 without KD, how good could they be with him?

A possible, awkward factor here is Harrison Barnes. If the Durant negotiations don’t achieve anything, Golden State could turn back to Barnes, a restricted free agent. The process may be uncomfortable, as he could ask why the Warriors made him their No. 2 option. While the talent level is a clear difference, it could make possible talks tense.

With NBA free agency set to start soon, it’s possible the Kevin Durant saga develops quickly. Will he stay in OKC or leave for another franchise?
