What channel is the 2016 Tour de France on?

The Tour de France officially gets underway this week and the greatest cyclists will compete for the right to wear the yellow jersey and compete for their country’s pride. The first event every year takes place on a Saturday and this year it will once again begin with a single-rider time trial event.

Chris Froome of Team Sky comes into the event as the favorite and he will have a decent field of riders around him that will be looking to knock him off the pace early and often in this year’s event.

For those that want to watch the 2016 Tour de France, each stage will take place on NBC Sports and the action officially begins on Saturday, July 2. Who will step up and claim the yellow jersey on the first day?

If there’s a contender to knock off Froome in this year’s event, keep your eyes on Nairo Quintana and Alberto Contador. The two of them have the legs to win the event and the versatility to compete near the front on the different stages and courses that will be raced on.
