Cleveland Cavaliers

They’re the defending champs. They have LeBron James. They’re the defending champs. They just lifted a curse off the city that was 50 plus years long. They’re the defending champs. The fans have stayed fiercely loyal despite years of some of the worst possible management the NBA has ever seen. They’re the defending champs. The only thing greater than previous regime’s ability to mismanage is the stupid luck that brought this team three number one overall draft picks, and fell ass backwards into LeBron James and Kevin Love. Did I mention they’re the defending champs?

The Cavs win games, they have the greatest player of his era in LeBron, and the craziest part is they’re just young enough to keep it going for awhile. James is up there in age, but when he calls it quits they’re still going to have Irving and Love. Add Durant into this mix and that’s a dynasty that could last as long as the showtime Lakers and 80’s Celtics. Teams don’t dominate entire decades anymore. The Cavs have a chance to restart that, and Durant will be the guy that gets it going. Also, what better way for the best player in the world to hand over his title to the next man up than giving it to a teammate? In Cleveland, Durant will face nothing but titles and good deeds with a long future of success ahead of him.
