2. Chandler Parsons

Another player that could make a lot of sense for the Los Angeles Lakers is forward Chandler Parsons. With Parsons set to move on from the Dallas Mavericks, he makes a lot of sense for the Lakers as a veteran shooter that can come in and provide the depth that they need.

Parsons wants a lot of money and the Lakers have so much cap space that they can afford to pay him what he wants. A guy like Parsons would fit in well with Los Angeles and he would get the right amount of minutes on the floor.

He never really took off in Dallas because of injuries, but with young wings to take plenty of minutes, Parsons just has to worry about finding his shot and providing leadership to a young team.

If there was ever a player that fit the profile of a Laker, Parsons is the perfect example. He has the swagger of a Laker and he’s a vet that’s about to get overpaid. Still, it’s fine for a team with as much cap space as the Lakers to take a chance on a guy like Parsons.

Still, you would hope you wouldn’t have to overpay someone to be temporary torch bearer. Things could be a lot worse for the Lakers.
