Paul Pogba just dabbed on the entire country of Iceland
By Hunter Cooke
Iceland isn’t sneaking up on anyone. When Paul Pogba scored France’s second goal of the day in the 18th minute, he dabbed on their entire country.
Iceland is Euro 2016’s best underdog story. Their unlikely 2-1 defeat of England and their haunting Viking war chant made them international sensations overnight. Their success hasn’t gone unnoticed, and as the interest in Iceland grew, their ability to sneak up on people diminished.
France was certainly ready for the Viking warchant and Iceland’s scrappy team. They went up 1-0 off the strength of a Giroud 11th minute goal and quickly went on the attack again.
A curving corner kick that glanced off the head of Paul Pogba went in only seven minutes later, and Iceland found themselves in big trouble. To add insult to injury, Pogba piped up some Migos and dabbed on the Iceland players.
Poor Iceland. Mere days after they upset England, they’re getting dabbed on by France.
It’s a timely celebration dance from Pogba, because the Dab will be in the new FIFA 17 video game that is coming out on September 17th.
Iceland’s run might be over at the hands of an internationally excellent France squad, but what they did to the country of England will never be forgotten. Journalists, pundits, and analysts alike are referring to it as the worst loss in English football history, and there were many going after England’s goalie, Joe Hart, after he let a dribbling Icelandic shot find net. Iceland’s run might be over, but while it was happening it was the most fun thing on TV.
