New York Knicks guard Brandon Jennings posted an interesting picture to announce the number he will be wearing this upcoming season.

The New York Knicks may be quietly building a competitive roster. After acquiring Derrick Rose and agreeing to deals with Joakim Noah, Courtney Lee and Brandon Jennings, the Knicks look like a favorite to make the playoffs out of the Eastern Conference.

The deals have not allowed the Knicks to pass the Cleveland Cavaliers or the Toronto Raptors, but a return to the playoffs could revitalize a franchise that has been out of the playoffs since the 2012-13 season.

Jennings was an interesting acquisition because of the price paid to get him. He will reportedly be signing for only $5 million, which is a steal compared to some of the other amounts being given to mid-level players across the NBA.

He will be able to officially sign his deal Thursday, but Jennings has already decided what number he will be wearing as a Knick.

One can only assume Jennings’ actual team photo will look a bit more realistic than this photo, which looks like something a high school kid would make in a graphic design class after realizing the assignment was due in two minutes.

The tweet basically explains that Jennings knows this is a ridiculous picture. If he didn’t know, his new teammates would have to sit him down and explain his Photoshop deficiencies to him, creating an uncomfortable environment from the start.

That situation won’t have to happen, and Jennings should thrive as Rose’s backup. At 26 years old, he is still young enough to have a great season this year and parlay that into a big deal to begin the next chapter of his career. He just needs to leave the Photoshop duties to the professionals.
