Ryan Smith of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers made an amazing touchdown grab Thursday night.

While fans in America await the beginning of training camp at the end of the month, football fans in Canada are enjoying the Canadian Football League season.

In a Thursday night matchup featuring the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, an amazing catch was hauled in for a touchdown.

Winnipeg’s Ryan Smith found himself in the perfect spot to receive the pass from quarterback Drew Willy. The spot was so perfect, he didn’t even need to attempt to catch the ball, as it landed in his arms for an unexpected touchdown.

Smith played college football in the U.S. for North Dakota State before joining the CFL in 2014 as a member of the Saskatchewan Roughriders. He had success in college, but being 5-foot-7 did not help his chances of making it in the NFL.

He was at North Dakota State for a few years with Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz, but Wentz did not become the starter until 2014, when Smith was gone.

Seeing this catch only serves to get football fans in America excited about the upcoming season. The likes of Odell Beckham Jr., Julio Jones, and Antonio Bryant have made great plays throughout the past few years, and 2016 should be another year filled with memorable plays on the field. Maybe even a no-look catch or two.

In the meantime, fans can enjoy some CFL action. That is, until training camp starts and the NFL season gets going once again.
