Identifying the top high salary and value outfielder plays from around Major League Baseball for your July 7 DraftKings lineup.

Our goal is to help you win DraftKings contests with consistently strong lineups. To accomplish that, we’ll be highlighting some higher salary players worth paying up for, and some value picks that will help you save salary in key areas. These picks are specifically for DraftKings lineups, so all references to prices and fantasy points are based on DK figures.

As always, be sure to double-check final MLB lineups and monitor weather situations before locking in your DFS lineups.

High Salary

Kris Bryant, Cubs (5,600): Bryant’s recent home run tear has put him atop the National League with 25 long balls, second only to Baltimore’s Mark Trumbo (26) in the majors. He’s homered four times over his last seven games, and eight in his last 13 games overall. Chicago is heavily favored Thursday at home against Atlanta and right-hander Lucas Harrell (1-0, 1.50 ERA). Bryant won’t come cheap, but he has serious upside.

Odubel Herrera, Phillies (5,300): Herrera, the Phillies’ lone All-Star this season, has six hits over his last four games, including a home run. Philadelphia opens a series with Colorado at Coors Field on Thursday, meaning plenty of runs are in store between the two pitching-light teams. Herrera is hitting .330 against righties this season, so he’s a great play against Chad Bettis (6-6, 5.85 ERA).

High Value

Matt Kemp, Padres (3,500): Kemp is coming off a brilliant three-game series against Arizona in which he went 6-for-13 with 44 total DK points. He’ll look to keep that momentum going Thursday against his former team, the Los Angeles Dodgers. Left-hander Hyun-Jin Ryu is slated to make his first start since 2014. Kemp has never faced Ryu, but he’s hitting .329 against lefties this season.

Franklin Gutierrez, Mariners (3,500): Gutierrez is always a viable play against left-handed pitchers. He’s hitting .286 against southpaws, compared to just .150 against righties. Gutierrez’s playing time has been spotty of late and he hasn’t had a hit since June 26, so he’s best viewed as a GPP option. But he’s intriguing against Kansas City Royals lefty Danny Duffy (4-1, 3.11 ERA).
