Kevin Durant is in the midst of a whirlwind of a week. He left the Oklahoma City Thunder to join the Golden State Warriors and he has all the coverage to himself in free agency.

While he’s now focusing on what’s next for his future, Durant also has the release of his Nike KD 9’s and some people are not happy that the price for his shoes are increasing.

Rather than lowering the prices of the shoes due to outrage, Durant calmly explained as to why he increased the prices of his shoes and simply put, he’s doing it because he’s an elite player and wants to make sure his shoes and everything that comes with are elite as well.

While some might not like his answer, at the end of the day, Durant is a businessman and he’s trying to do what is best for his brand.

The cool thing is that if you are willing to shell out the cash for his shoes, he’s going to make sure you get hooked up with a bunch of stuff as well.
