It’s the second former player that the Suns have signed in free agency, after they signed Jared Dudley at the start of free agency. The Suns are in the middle of a youth movement and bringing in a great teammate like Barbosa will be perfect for the development of their young players.
Barbosa was one of the most beloved Suns during his two previous tenures with the team and he will be welcomed back with open arms. In his last two seasons with the Golden State Warriors, Barbosa played a key role on the bench for a team that won a championship.
Now, he can help groom the future Suns of tomorrow.
