2. Toronto Raptors

The Toronto Raptors are a great team in the Eastern Conference that is going to contend for many years with their talent. They’re all still young and the roster has great depth, even if they lost Bismack Biyombo to free agency.

However, the Raptors are a great team that is stuck looking up at the Cleveland Cavaliers in the conference. If they’re going to get by the Cavaliers or stay near the top of the Eastern Conference, they’re going to have to get better and add more depth as well.

Adding another shooter to the front court like Rudy Gay would go a long way for this Toronto team. Yes, they have already had him once on the roster, but his fit makes more sense now than when he was first on the team.

The Raptors have pieces and young players they could flip over to Sacramento to get a player like Gay and the two sides seem like natural trading partners.

If Toronto is serious about winning the Eastern Conference, then they’re going to have to start taking some chances. One of those chances would be acquiring a player like Gay and seeing if he can put them over the top.
