3. Bobby Abreu

It would be disrespectful not to acknowledge the man who still holds the record for most home runs in a single derby with 41 in 2005.

At Comerica Park in Detroit, Abreu put on a show that no one has ever seen before. He launched 24 home runs in the first round, at the time a record but was broken by Josh Hamilton in 2009 when he hit 28.

Sometimes quality has the upper hand over quantity. This was the only derby appearance for Abreu but he made it a memorable one.

Will his record of 41 home runs be broken? Probably, it is not an unreachable mark. But for now, 2016 will be the 11th derby since Abreu set the mark so it is an achievement that deserves recognition.
