How to watch Stage 9 of the 2016 Tour de France live stream online

Without question, one of the favorites in the 2016 Tour de France from the very start was Chris Froome of Great Britain. However, he was a guy who was more or less hanging back a bit to start things in the biggest cycling race of every year. Entering Stage 9, though, Froome now is wearing the yellow jersey and is now in the driver’s seat to start playing defense.

Froome has opened up a 16-second lead on the nearest competition even just entering Stage 9 of the Tour de France, which has to be a nice cushion for one of the favorites. He was dominant in winning Stage 8 on Saturday.

Now Stage 9 will entail going 184.5 kilometers from Vielha Val d’Aran to Andorre Arcalis and several different climbs and downhill runs. Despite Froomes’ lead and ability to play defense, he’ll have to be on his toes on Sunday to make sure that he stays wearing the yellow jersey or at least firmly within striking distance.
