Harrison Barnes just signed a max contract with the Dallas Mavericks. That means he’s a whole lot richer and can probably spend a ton of his money anywhere he pleases. So what’s next for Barnes? A high profile club? Maybe a nice dinner at the fanciest restaurant in Texas? A trip to IHOP with his new bosses?

For those that guessed the final option, YOU ARE CORRECT!

Who needs money when you got good company and delicious cinnamon french toast? Well that’s a ridiculous question cause the reason he signed in Dallas was thanks to them offering him the most money, but that is not why we are here today. We are here, because Harrison Barnes has dropped the gauntlet. He may have enjoyed some delicious cinnamon french toast, but does this mean in the eternal debate of French Toast, Waffles, or Pancakes he is team french toast?

We might never know the answer to that, but it’s pleasing to know that no matter how big his contracts get Barnes will always appreciate some delicious IHOP breakfast. To be honest, more players need to be doing this kind of stuff with their bosses. Casual breakfast placeslike Denny’s and Perkins can start advertising themselves as the premier destination for new free agent signings to enjoy their first meal. Of course, it looks like IHOP has the advantage on them in the short term.
