5. Chicago Cubs

The Chicago Cubs are the first team that comes to mind when thinking of a team who could potentially pull off this trade. Theo Epstein and Jed Hoyer have done an incredible job of assembling talent on the North Side of Chicago, and they undoubtedly have a mixture of pieces who could entice the Angels.

The Angels would probably insist on a package involving Kris Bryant or Anthony Rizzo, but even if the Cubs (rightly) balk at that, there are still plenty of impact position players who the Angels could build around.

Slugger Kyle Schwarber, slick infielder Addison Russell, huge upside do-everything Javier Baez and big-time catcher Willson Contreras are just a few young and impressive pieces who immediately come to mind.

The Cubs would obviously hate to part with any of these guys, but Trout is one of the few players in baseball who would get them to consider it. The Cubs undoubtedly love the core of talent that they have built, but Trout could go down as the best player of all-time.

This team may be on the brink of a dynasty-like run, and adding Trout to the mix could be the piece to take them over the top.
