AL MVP

1. player. 102.
I. Do. Not. Care. About. The. Angels. Record.

Los Angeles is 37-52 and, with that, in the basement of the AL West. However, Mike Trout is so much better than everyone else that it doesn’t matter. There is a real chance that he won’t win the AL MVP, even with the best numbers, for narrative reasons, but Trout’s profile is unmatched. He leads the AL in both fWAR and bWAR, and Trout has 18 home runs and 15 stolen bases before the All-Star break. Throw in a .300/.400/.500 slash line (and, really, better than that) and quality defense …. and you have the best player in the world.
. OF. Los Angeles Angels. Mike Trout
