The rookie Dallas running back has yet to play a meaningful snap, but his jersey is already the #1 online seller.

The Cowboy’s fourth overall pick in the NFL Draft is looking like a real winner — at least when it comes to making money.

Today, a report came out that the rookie’s jersey is the #1 seller on NFLshop.com:

Playing for a nationally popular (and hated) team like the Dallas Cowboys has more than a little to do with the jersey’s popularity. It’s not just the Cowboys though, as Ezekiel Elliott is a legitimately good football player. He was a key instrument in Ohio State’s 2014 title run, and he continued his domination in 2015.

Elliott is going to run behind a powerful force in the Dallas offensive line, and he’ll have a lot of weapons to take the focus off him. He’s likely not a day one starter, but he may grow into a starter as the season drags on and players get injured. If Tony Romo stays healthy, the Cowboys could be looking at a solid year.

The Cowboys went 4-12 in 2015 and are looking to flip the script. Losing Romo was a huge blow, and the aging Jason Witten just doesn’t seem to be the same. The Cowboys might be looking at another underwhelming season if they don’t start out strong with games against divisional rivals Giants and Redskins in weeks one and two.
