Identifying the top high salary and value outfielder plays from around Major League Baseball for your July 21 DraftKings lineup.

Our goal is to help you win DraftKings contests with consistently strong lineups. To accomplish that, we’ll be highlighting some higher salary players worth paying up for, and some value picks that will help you save salary in key areas. These picks are specifically for DraftKings lineups, so all references to prices and fantasy points are based on DK figures.

As always, be sure to double-check final MLB lineups and monitor weather situations before locking in your DFS lineups.

High Salary

Starling Marte, Pirates (5,500): Marte now has at least one hit in nine of his last 11 games, a stretch that includes six games of double-digit DK points. He’s only 2-for-8 in his career against Milwaukee Brewers right-hander Matt Garza (1-3, 5.74 ERA), but the Pirates’ expected run total (5.2) is one of the highest on Thursday’s short slate.

Mookie Betts, Red Sox (5,300): Betts had been relatively quiet since the All-Star break, but he broke out in a big way Wednesday night, tallying 20 DK points (3-for-5, two doubles, one RBI). Look for Betts to stay hot Thursday against struggling Minnesota Twins righty Tyler Duffey (5-6, 5.23 ERA). Boston players will be popular, but they all have value at Fenway Park.

High Value

Tommy Pham, Cardinals (3,600): Pham has gone hitless in his last two games, but prior to that he had hit safely in nine of 10 games. The 28-year-old still has limited experience, having played just 85 total games over parts of three seasons, but he’s hitting .324 against right-handers this season. That certainly bodes well for his matchup Thursday with San Diego Padres righty Andrew Cashner (4-7, 5.05 ERA).

Marcell Ozuna, Marlins (3,300): It’s been a quiet month of July for Ozuna. He’s hitting just .236 and has only three games of double-digit DK points. For DFS purposes, this could be a great time to buy low on Ozuna, who is facing Philadelphia Phillies right-hander Jerad Eickhoff (6-10, 3.76 ERA) on Thursday. Ozuna is 2-for-6 with a double and home run in his career against Eickhoff.
